Outdraw

making better hands than the opponent by drawing good cards.

Poque

(1) A French game from where the name of poker was partly taken. (2) An expression in French for betting.

Right to Bet

A rule which allows each player the right to place a bet or raise at least once every round irrespective of the number of raises in that round.

Round of Play

The sequence of action in which each player deals hand in a game of poker

Shoot the Moon

To declare high and low both to win both portions of a highlow pot (Moon, Scooping, Swinging).

Structure

This refers to all the details in context of betting. The structure would include antes, blinds, and all the chips’ amount that could be placed as a bet in any betting round.

Tap You

(1) An expression used for a player who bets an amount equal to the money that his opponent has in table stakes. (2) A raise.

Twenty

Deck Poker A Poker game that is played with a set of twenty cards, all the cards that are lower in value than tens would be removed from the game

Technical Position

In comparison to the other players on a table, the psychological and the strategic advantage that a player would have on a table during a game of poker

Uncle Doc

A Fivecard game that has a single spit or a table card and all similar cards as wild.

Whipsaw

To place a bet and to raise with aggression on each side of a player who is calling. (Squeezed Player).
